I have been tutoring since I was in high school. I was part of a peer tutoring program that allowed me to mentor and tutor students in middle and elementary school. Since graduating with a Bachelor's degree in English from SUNY Geneseo, I have served as an AmeriCorps member in 7 school districts, focusing on tutoring and after school programming, actually running a program similar to the one in which I participated as a teenager.
